About Wai Shun
I am a Product Designer and Design Leader with 10 years of experience across various platforms and mediums. Originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer, I have honed strong logical thinking and analytical skills that I apply to problem-solving in my work as a designer.
Passionate about tackling complex problems, I deeply understand users while balancing business needs and technical feasibility throughout the process. In addition to being a strong advocate for users, I delve into business rules and considerations, as well as the technical limitations of systems that might impact user experience. This comprehensive approach allows me to design around constraints effectively and develop holistic solutions.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with diverse organizations across industries to help them build and deliver software products that bring significant value to both users and businesses.
I am an excellent communicator experienced in planning and facilitating workshops with large groups. As a great team player, I collaborate well with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software. I am also comfortable in client-facing environments, enabling me to have productive interactions with stakeholders.
When I'm not working, I enjoy keeping up with the latest advancements in technology and staying informed about aviation news. Besides that, I also love spending time in nature.

Designed and built an app that reduced 3rd party claims process lead time by more than 50% (from weeks to days).
Toyota
Mentored a new software team to build an internal parts management software that saved about 80% of time spent on auto parts retrieval and ordering for rally cars maintenance technicians.
Singapore Airlines
Led key digital transformation initiatives and new features on the Singapore Airline’s website including the commercial booking flow, redemption booking flow, manage booking flow, online check-in flow, feedback and help center, lost & delayed baggage portal etc.
